Hey, I need some help.
I just got an ipod touch as an early Christmas present, but I can't connect to the internet at home. I have a macbook and wireless internet at home. I can get onto the Megapass password sight, but when i put in my passwork and id, nothing happens, or it says I'm not a registered user. Can anyone help me set this up?
Thanks a lot. |

Try putting in your password instead. |

I have tried it again and the internet is working (although very slowly) but it only stays connected for about 20 seconds and then the signal bar goes down. If I choose the network again, it works for another 20 or so seconds. I have no idea what to do. |

I have an iPod touch and have no probs with internet connection. If your mac is turned on, and the airport is on, everything should be kosher.
Check to see if you have put any restrictions on your wireless network. Maybe, by default, your computer disallows the connection.
Have you tried the help site? |

So, I have a long chat with KT today. They say I have to pay an extra 10,000 won a month to put another computer (in this case my ipod touch) on to my wireless network.
It seems kind of strange to me. I think the problem is that my macbook is using the airport to get the wireless signal, so it can't send out a signal to the ipod at the same time. So they have to share the signal from the modem, hence the extra man won.
Sucks, but I don't know what to do.
Can anyone else think of a better solution than me giving more money to KT?

Some anti-virus software will allow a connection but the device doesn't send or recieve data. Turn off all anti-virus and firewall protection (for a few minutes) and try. If it works then you may have to see if you can allow that device in the options. |

I set up a wi-fi network in my home and I am using KT. You do not have to pay extra money, that is a lie. It is easy to setup...but the freaking Korean instructions can make you crazy. KT has a wi-fi network covering most of Korea so when your network is not setup correctly, it goes to the Megapass main site. All I can say it that you must follow every step in the little instruction book..even if you think it is not important. |
