I have a GPS. I just love it. I'm not as crazy about it as this guy is, though:

How else do you expect him to watch his favorite TV shows with the GPS, traffic, road signs, and pedestrians getting in his way??

I wondered how these taxi drivers afford all this stuff being that they don't make that much money. I know it's not company provided being that each car is equipped differently. It's the blue collar profession that offers the amenities of a white collar position such as cleanliness which is what they usually take great pride in maintaining. I am impressed and happy with Korea's taxi drivers, but I don't get how they make enough money to make it worthwhile.

Maybe the government subsidizes the taxi system as a social welfare to everyone. It's pretty good considering that Korea's public transit system has to be one of the best in the world. Affordable and clean taxis augment a fine bus and train system for everyone to have a fair chance at getting to work and meeting people.

I know one company actually advertises their handphone GPS service (Navicall) with at least one cab company.

The service is a monthly rate, and horribly overpriced, though.
