If you're into physical activity:
- Find a good (practical) martial art. Kyuk-Too-Gi or Myui-thai would be my suggestions.
- Join the gym.
If you're not into physical activity:
- Take an online course.
- Find a good torrent site and download the shit out of it. |

If someone gets bored in Seoul, something's wrong. You'd be bored in NYC or anywhere eles then. |

The mountain trail hiking is phenomenal all over Korea. You can bet that anywhere you see a wooded mountain side, there are well built walking trails with outdoor work out gyms set up along the course. I would sincerely like to have friends to hike with or joint the hiking club in Seoul, but too far away. I still have many nice trails to walk, even within walking distance. Another thing I do a couple times a week is fill my water jugs and bottles at a mountain side spring tap and pack my free water down for 15 minutes to my apartment in a backpack and my hands.
If you are in Seoul, you can find interest groups and clubs to suit many tastes of things to do other than drinking booze. If outside of Seoul, you're probably do best if you are an independent loner type of individual. I am an independent type 5 hours outside of Seoul, but find I don't have people to talk with which is probably what the OP is trying to say about his/her situation. There are many English speaking Koreans which you usually meet through a 3rd party that introduces you. I have been where I am for 10 months and only just starting to meet and associate with Koreans outside of work though Koreans at work serve as the 3rd party to bring me together with others since this is how meeting people works in Asia. You don't just meet strangers and make friends with them, you have to be introduced.
For non-physical activities, you can download torrents that are popular movies and TV shows on the Internet for your pleasure free of charge and also read about anything in the world that interests you. My computer activities eat up most nights for me to the point of no night not ever being long enough.
Sleep is the other free activity that I never can set aside enough time for as time is just out of control for me like mad dog on steroids yelling, "Bali! Bali!". Sleep if you are bored, can't find anything to do with yourself, and want something free to do.

Don't confuse Seoul with NYC, Princess. They clearly aren't the same and don't offer the same activities and indulgences. |

^^^ wish I was getting some sex let alone a gf.....that would be a perfect time-killer....
Usually after work during the week it goes pretty quick either meeting a friend for dinner, watching a dvd movie or going to the gym....
Sometimes in the weekend I'll play a basketball game and maybe have 1 or 2 drinks....
But for some reason boredom is still really eating me up....I need to keep my brain constantly satisfied....
Maybe it's because I don't have a 'constant mind-set' like I do in my country of origin because I can't identify with half the things nor people going around me which keeps my mind unoccupied and dormant half the time...thus my boredom kicks in... |

I was going to suggest getting a Korean gf. They will keep you on your toes, and there is never a dull moment. I adore my gf btw . |

Go to Nagwon and make a one-time investment in a musical instrument. A guitar or a banjo or something. Learn how to play it. |
