BANGKOK (Reuters) - Canadian paedophile suspect Christopher Neil has denied charges that he molested underage children in Thailand, police said on Saturday, a day after a global manhunt ended with his arrest in a dusty Thai town.
The 32-year-old is facing charges of molesting underage children, depriving children of parental care and restraint of freedom, Police Major-General Wimol Powin said.
"He denied the charges but has not said much more," Wimol told reporters, who were barred from the court hearing.
If found guilty, he could spend up to 20 years in jail.
In brief comments to Reuters Television, Neil also declined to comment on the charges he faces but asked his family for help.
"Just to take care and to make sure I get out of here. That's all. Help me out," Neil said when asked what his message to his family was.
Police said Neil had contacted the Canadian embassy and phoned his relatives in Canada where Matthew Neil said he was relieved his brother was in custody.
"He looks tired," Matthew said of the pictures of his brother after the arrest. He said he "cannot imagine" what is going through his brother's mind.
"I would like to see him come back to Canada, but I understand it involves an international incident and allegations," he told reporters.

YAY for yet ANOTHER god damn thread about this guy .. and YAY for the fact you thought it important enough to share incase we all missed the latest ...
I'm sick of hearing about him ... I'm sick of seeing his old posts brought back to life by people (for whatever stupid reason) ..... let him go, let him pay, let him rot .... enough said already. |

It is getting old...hearing of him....
I do know this...what if it were YOU that someone made claims against and YOU know that you are not guilty!?!?
Let's wait and see how it plays out. It's easy to sling crap, get on the band wagon and be on our high horse. Except if we're on the receiving end of rumors!
Cops do make mistakes and witnesses do lie and want to join the band wagon at times also. |

He has been running away from jobs within Korea. He was running away from Thailand and Vietnam and back again. Runnning away from responsibility. He didn't set a precedent by running again. Running away in this case doesn't necessarily add to his guilt. |

Pictures of him diddling little boys paints is guilt quite clearly.
Keep him there. Let him suffer. |

has any children come forward yet to testify?
without that really they have nothing..
how much proof is in the pictures?
thailand might want to make another example of this.. so he might get a hard sentence for this..
of course there needs to be evidence.. is there any?? |

Much as I admire the advanced technology manifested by the German police/scientist, I am sceptical.
I'd like to see EVIDENCE on him personally (like his computer hard drive) before I consider him convicted. |

Umm... only problem there is, that guy probably has the cleanest-wiped hard drive on the planet. That's assuming he didn't physically destroy the thing before he left Korea or even years ago. Luckily, he's not able to do the same to the EVIDENCE Interpol has. |

Yes, I considered that, too, Guru.
Problem is - how do we know that the reversal of said pictures hasn't caused distortion of sort?
But I guess if his family are saying the guy in the pictures is him, then he is pretty guilty as charged. |

I feel quite sorry for his family. What a terrible thing for them to live with. And how their hearts must be aching for him, whatever he has done. This is all so sad for everybody. If he is guilty, and found as such, it may bring some relief to his victims at least. |
