Just be prepared to
A) go back to the doctor every three days to get more meds (since antibiotics typically take at least 10 days to kill an infectio completley)
B) Get a bit bitchhy and demand 10 days now. You may have to pay 3 fees worth of doctors visits, which will still amount to under 12,000 won.

Also, please be aware that most antibiotics used in Korea are penicillin derivatives...so if you're allergic, make REALLY sure they don't give you something that will cause you problems.

Yeah, and they'll give you three days of the 'cheap stuff' so it will take ten days to clear up, no matter what. People here are incredibly cheap when it comes to medicine. They'd rather return to the doctor 3 times in a week than pay a couple thousand won more for a sufficient quantity of the good meds (and they are available). I have a friend who is a doctor here. He prescribes me some of the newer more expensive antibiotics (something like 500 won a dose instead of the usual 200 (big deal)) whenever I see him. It's much more effective, so in the end it turns out to be much cheaper.
