I always thought that was an interesting and entertaining sport, and i know it's more prevelant in Japan. Has anyone heard/seen any sumo events in Korea? I'm not even over there yet, but i'm hoping i can see it before i die.

Thank you Capt. Obvious. Sumo is a sport, and it's mostly played in Japan. I realize that, but being in the same "region" i merely asked if it was also played in s.k.

I don't think that there is a sumo gym in korea. SSirum is a form of traditional korean wrestling but i don't think they have gyms.. It's a school sport IIRC. There are however wrestling and bjj gyms in korea.

I think you'll have to take a vacation in Japan to see sumo. However, you can see a much less interesting sport here, ssirum. The guys are not fat. It's not as rigidly organized. There are tournaments but hardly anyone goes.
