Hi again everyone
I am looking for some published articles, thesis papers, dissertations and other published materials related to team teaching and communicative language strategies in Korean schools.
If anyone has a link to where I can find such information, I'd be very appreciative.
If any of you have done professional research in the TESOL/Linguistics field, please pm me. I am in the process of writing a very long literature review for my M.A. practicum and I need all the resources I can get!! |

The TESL journal has some good stuff. Sorry I don't have their exact link but a google or yahoo search will get you there. |

First, does your program give you access to online data bases through the university library? That would be the first place to go searching. If you don't know, contact your supervisor. If they say they don't, ask why and push for access. It's what libraries are for.
For local stuff, check out the publications from the following five English teaching organizations in Korea:
KOTESOL - www.kotesol.org
ALAK - www.alak.or.kr
PKETA - www.pketa.org
KATE - www.kate.or.kr
KAPEE - www.kapee.org (site is only in Korean)
Not every issue of their journals and newsletters are available on line, so you may want to contact them for other information.
You should also look for material from the Japan Association of English Teachers - www.jalt.org
There is probably more stuff relevant to what you are looking at in Hong Kong-based journals, but I'm largely unfamiliar with those. You should look for this book:
Luk, J. C. M., & Lin, A. M. Y. (2006). Classroom interactions as cross-cultural encounters: Native speakers in EFL classrooms. London: Erlbaum.
It looks at the NET program in Hong Kong, and really makes and effort to take a balanced look how native and non-native speaker teachers engage in interaction in the classroom and the different effects of their limits and possibilities for teaching.
That should be enough to start with. PM me if you want more info. I don't work specifically on this topic, but have friends who do things related to it and may be able to connect you to them if I know more specifically what you are doing. I also have some general interest in the topic and may be able to direct you to some more material, again if I have a better idea of what you are working on. |

Are you doing the OU MA? The same literature review essay is required at the end of my module, too.
I thought the KEDI link was a good one - thanks. I didn't know it existed before. There are some decent research articles on there. Not sure if co-teaching is covered, though.
I still haven't decided what area I'd like to research.
Good luck Snowkr! |

For what it is worth, check out this old folder of mine with lots of articles / material on co-teaching. I have much more and will update it soon.

I'd also recomment Nunan's anthology on collaborative teaching - forget the specific title right now. You can find it at most bookstores, published by Cambridge. A few great papers in that collection.
Also scan my prof. development folder for other items on collaborative teaching. Hit the button at www.ddd.batcave.net

scholar.google.com. search for any dicipline by key word, and it filters out all the non-academic crap. good luck. |
