I am in Korea on a 1 year work Visa. I have to renew my passport. The process has me applying through the U.S. Embassy in Seoul and then will be sent to the States for processing.
They will send me a new passport in a few weeks. The question I have is how do I then get my new Visa placed in the new passport. Where do I go for this? I guess I will not need to leave the country to apply. Is that right? |

You need to make a stop at the same immigration office that issued your ARC. They will amend your file with your new passport. Make sure that they understand you have a MULTI-Entry visa that you want transfered or else you will need to get a re-entry permit when you decide to go on vacation.
The process is painless and takes about 15 minutes or so AFTER you get to the counter. You need your old passport, new passport and ARC. |

They should. They usually give it back with a hole punched in it to void it but you can ask to be sure. |

| They will. I just renewed my passport through the US Embassy in Seoul and had the new one mailed to me. My old one was included in the envelope, with a hole punched through it. |
