Last Friday, I Fedex'd my documents (degree, transcript, etc) to a school in Daegu.
The package was signed for at 1830 (Korean time) on Monday. By Wednesday morning, I still hadn't received an email from the recruiter, so I emailed them.
I was told "The school will have received you documents and will take them to immigration sometime this week". I thought it was a bit tardy after all the "hurry up with this, hurry up with that" for them to have my documents just lying around for over a day.
I emailed them again yesterday to ask what is going on. So far, I haven't had a reply.
Am I being paranoid, or have they changed their minds at the last minute or something?
I don't understand it. I seem to be doing all the running here. I did everything as quickly as possible. There doesn't seem to have been any problem. No one has sought clarification on anything. Just no reply.
I had to get a replacment degree (they don't accept notarized copies and London don't notarize them anymore anyway. That cost 50. Fedex cost 45, and then there's the issue of wasted time.
I HOPE that I am simply being paranoid. If I don't get a reply today, I'm gonna start naming and shaming. The recruiter is major one.

I would not panic ... This part of the process is probably the one which will take the most time ... and be most frustrating for you ... I know I felt much like what you have said in this part of the process ...
As the other posters have said ... it just takes time ... and this is just Korea ... It is also true that the documents did need to get from the recruiter to the school ... and then the school has to physically take them to the appropriate immigration office ... which in my case was over an hour from my school ... and then immigration is going to take a week or so to do what they need to do to go through the visa approval process ... and give the school the magic visa approval number which you need to be able to apply to get the visa in your passport in your country ... If there happen to be national holidays in the timeframe then it will take a little longer ... I would give it a week before I started asking questions about how it is going ... Now that you have confirmation that they did get there safetly ...

Hurry up and wait.... welcome to the Korean way. Usually frustrating, often pointless, but the Korean way none the less.
Just relax. You should receive your confirmation number in 5-10 days.
Then a couple more days while you actually get your visa in your passport, then you are off to the airport and on your way.
From the time your school receives your documents the process USUALLY takes about 12 days before you get on the plane.
