Is it possible to get an alumni roll call from your university website? I am working at a public school in Busan and they think that a good way to verify that my transcripts and diploma are not fake is to log on to some sort of university directory and get a print out of some sort.
In my experience that is counter to the whole idea of having original sealed documents sent from the university... but oh well.
I am confused as is my managing coteacher.

I was asked the same thing today by a guy from my admin department. My plan is simple: Ignore. |

They asked me, so I logged into the part of my university website where it lets me change my address on file. I printed that page and it seemed to satisfy them. Of course, it doesn't prove ANYTHING, but they seem to think it does.
I'm in a Busan PS too. |

Brilliant idea. I just tried it, unfortunately some genius at my uni misentered me as a B.S. and not a B.A. My diploma clearly states B.A., I could have gotten a B.S. in my program if I had had a foreign language credit but...
Hahahaha... what a coincidence.
I am afraid to show them this now. |

Yeah we did the same here, logged onto my school site. It's strange since students can do it too. My friend dropped out of college I guess he could get a job here then heh. |

Yeah. I could have taken one class there and it still would have showed me on that page. Whatever, they were satisfied. I don't care. |

I don't think such a page exists at my university website. I graduated in the UK, in 1996, and things weren't computerised back then at my Uni.
I found that there is a alumni association on the website, I've never registered, but it is currently under reconstruction anyway
I wonder what my boss will do next in order to verify my degree? |

Why don't you copy that page to Word and then edit it to have BA? That should solve that problem (not that I am saying you should lie about your credentials just a simple solution to a typo). Print the Word document out and then hand it to whoever the t055er is that asked for it.
A good idea however would be to write up some verification letter on behalf of the university to the school, sign it and then hand it to the Public School. I am sure they wouldn't know what to do with it.
Finally, if you have had enough just show them the middle finger and tell them that immigration verified your degree and transcripts. If they have any questions, get them to speak to Immigration. |

I kicked up a fuss.
I hopefully stopped short of being too much of an a-hole, but made sure my co-teacher knew I didn't blame her. I did go on about the politician named on the form which also cited the 106 foreigners don't have bachelors etc was a tosser and so on.
I had to fill out the same damn form I've already filled out and will have to bring in my degree, transcripts etc tomorrow. The education office have seen all this stuff just before I started working this semester. Complete bollocks!!! |

The fork who told me and "many, many Canadians" off today went on and on about the intelligence arm of the R.C.M.P. having every school in Canada on their site. Gee, he could not find any of the schools where I did undergrad work, etc.
Did the admin guy say to you that you are a pervert or did you hear the person utter the word, "byeontae?"
The load at my workplace also said that he can only prove that 106 foreign teachers are working without a degree after I challenged him to substantiate his assertions about us.
God, I wish that my sister could come over here and beat the shite outta little prickes like this fork...
I told the guy off in a polite way and I could tell that he knew that being told off for being a complete jerk in the English language is supposed to hurt in a big way, eh.
Maybe I'll stick my foot out and trip the corksucker tomorrow as he tries to walk past me or maybe I'll pull a Korean on him and intentionally walk into the *beep*.
Local weirdos of all sorts are getting to be par for the course in this nation, eh. IMHO, Korea has way more anti-foreigners than even a couple of years ago.
Any, ciao for now.
