If any South African is asked to produce a criminal background check then just contact the embassy and make an appointment with them. They provide a service at the embassy where you can meet with an official to complete all the paperwork and do the fingerprint thing. They then send the paperwork home to be processed.
The only thing I am not sure of is what happens after that. I don't think the SAP sends the documents back. You need to type up and sign a letter stating that a family member or friend may collfect your documents for you. Then they can just courier it back to you.
I think it took something like 3 months to get it back. Yet again I am not sure about this time frame.
Has any South African done this recently? |
