I resigned from my job (gave them more than 30 days notice); they didn't give me a LOR. However, I went to immigration today and told them I'd resigned and wanted to leave the country and come back with a new job. They took my ARC and gave me a 30-day exit order (stapled it to my passport) and told me to give it to the immigration officer on my way out, and then I could come back with a new job.

They didn't stamp my visa or write "void" on it or anything, however.

...Am I good to get a new job and apply for a new E2 visa? Do the immigration officials in the airport cancel visas when you leave? Has anyone else had this happen to them? I've heard so many different things from immigration officials in the past couple months that I wanted to check on this forum...

If it's as simple as that, a lot more people should be doing this.

I don't see why you can't come back.

Is your exit order 14 days or 30 days?

30 days.

And I know... It seemed too easy. That's why I'm crossing my fingers that everything will work out...

Has anyone had their visa canceled at the airport before? Is it easy to do?
