I need to get rid of some books, and I heard they buy used books? True? False?
What do you get- money or in store credit? Do they take a majority of the things you take in? I've got mostly classics and a book on Korea. |

Yes, they buy used books. You get store credit only, unless they've changed this or I'm mistaken. Plus I'm pretty sure he'll take just about anything you've got to sell!
Just head on over to his website and read the police on used books.

He'll give you store credit or cash, but if you opt for cash, you'll get half of what you would get in store credit. |

Books mean nothing to me after I've read them.
Slight sentimentality and thought to the cost.I'd rather leave them in a random room,or post them to friends than ask 2 bucks for something. |

Thanks. That sounds like the same sort of policy any second hand place has.
I just don't want this stuff anymore and want to get rid of it. I even sent out a mass e-mail and only got one taker. FREE ENGLISH BOOKS! They cost so much money! I can't believe people don't want them. |

as in, too heavy to carry, too heavy to take home, or comedic answer?
I know they're too heavy to take home- that's why I don't want them. But I thought at least in my circle of friends someone would want one, then pass it on to someone else, pass it on to someone else, etc.
I miss having a library, and thought maybe other people would, too. I was wrong. |

You answered your own question.
Q:"Why don't they want them?"
A:"Because they're too heavy."
Personally, I love having a ton of books, but in Korea I'm more selective about what books I keep because I don't want to have to move the darn things later. |

You could donate them to the book exchange by dropping them off at the Wolfhound Pub in Itaewon. |
