I want an MP3 (I'm sick of hearing students being beaten outside my classroom - I need some music in my life).

I just want a cheap/small/light/basic unit. I travel a lot and don't want anything fancy in case it's stolen. I've never had an MP3. So what's the deal?

Emart has these basic MP3's:

- MP3 1 GB USB or 2 BG USB (no screen) 59,000 won????.

- MP3 1 GB (no screen) 69,000 won.

- MP3 30 GB 4.3 (LCD screen) 79,000 won.

- S10, 1GB (LCD screen) 128,000 won.

- D-5 (2 GB) for 128,000 won

- UP3 (MP3 & USB) what is this????

QUESTIONS
(1) How many tracks/CD's can I get on a IGB or 2GB MP3?
(2) Does a screen make usuage easier - or are they just for photos etc.
(3) How is the music quality on a basic MP3?
(4) How do I download music to the MP3. (My school computer is in Hangul.)

Any advice to above questions (and other MP3 info) appreciated.

a 30gb mp3 player for only 79,000? wow.

1. unless you're an audiophile, your basic mp3 is gonna run about 1megabye per minute -- so a 4 minute song will be around 4megs. step up from a 128k mp3 to something like vbit or lossless and you'll have less space.

2. i prefer screens -- unless you're the "shuffle" type that either doesn't mind skipping forward till you find a song you like, or doesn't care what song's playing. with a screen, you can set up playlists, browse by artists, song name, genre, etc.

3. quality for mp3s -- well, this is debatable. audiophiles go for vbit or lossless. some pepole can't tell the difference between 128 and 192, etc. it's up to you.
