Hey, I was just wondering if there is a difference between a notarized copy of your degree and a certified copy. I got a certified copy from my univeristy the other day and im wondering if this is the right one to send to korea for my visa application.

Thanks!

As far as I'm aware, you send the original and a certified copy to your Korean embassy/consulate, they notorize the certified copy, send them both back to you, then you can send the certified, notorized copy of your degree to the school.

hey, The school I am going to be working for told me that I could send a copy of my degree and didnt have to send my real degree...so im pretty sure i can send the certified copy but i might be wrong. Im really nervous sending my degree as my univeristy charges $100 to replace it....

Don't send a one-and-only original! You never know what will happen to it. If your university will issue a copy you can send that. The other way to get a "certified copy" is to have a photocopy notarized and then stamped at the consulate. Ask your local consulate how they do things because they may want to see the original and some transcripts or something.
