So I signed a GEPIK contract that finishes at the start of the new school year around March the 2nd or 3rd 2008.
I was wondering if anyone would know from expierience whether now is a good time to tell my school that I am not going to renew my contract and I would like them to think about getting my ticket home. ( A little early I know!!)
Also the spring holidays begin at the end of Feb, 20th to be specific and I am hoping that I can get everything settled like bonuses etc and leave on the 21st.
I was just wondering what do you think there attitude will be to letting me go early and is it wise to tell them of my intentions now?? |

Your contract gives you the option of giving notice about leaving early ... depending on your contract the notice period required will be 1 or 2 months .... But if you are leaving early they will not pay for your return airfare or give you the severance payment for completing the year... so you need to factor that into making your decision ... If you leave early you will not get the bonus ... and will need to pay for your own airfare ...
