I'm thinking of going to the mainland for vacation next August. Would it be better to visit Daegu or Pohang? I read things here from disgruntled malcontents and misfits about how dirty the place is, how mean and nasty the local men are, how easy the local ajummas are, and how great it is to party and drink the local soju there. Are these things true? I know someone who claims to know someone who spent three days there working at a bad hagwon who says these things are mostly true, but the reality of the place is far more vivid than one might suppose. What's the real deal? Please clue me in! Are there a lot of other threads about this I failed to notice? Thanks a bunch in advance for your well-meaning and useful replies!
