Timvas is deserving of a merit award for what he is doing for the rescue animal situation here in Korea. I know what kind of effort it takes to involve yourself in this, and he seems to put everything he has into it. Not everyone is an animal lover, but some of us are, and we do appreciate what is going on. I wish that I could help more, but don't have the resources to do so.

On a personal note, I lost both of my English Setters within the last 2 years to cancer while I was in Korea, and that was a hard time for me. I was able to adopt a wonderful Jindogae from Timvas a couple of months ago. Here name was Pavlov at the time (now called Claire), and was a dog that was desperately in need of attention and a stable home (she came from the shelter in Dajeon that is sadly having to close down). I am happy to report that she is very healthy and happy, and I can't imagine having a better dog in my life.

Anyone that is looking to help out the rescued animal population here should consider going through him. Thank you, Tim!

Go grass-roots too. Look around your neighborhood for any signs of dogs being neglected, ask if people want the dog chained to a dilapidated shack in the middle of a field, take matters into your own hands and feed it or give it water. Ask a neighbor if you can take it for walks. Even watch for strays.

God knows I've done this to many a dog over there, given them a little care. The best is to be aware of neglect, see if there's one that's in need. I've heard that Korea now has an animal anti-cruelty law. Yeah, dogs are eaten there but it doesn't mean animals and dogs in general should be treated cruelly.

Social awareness can make a difference.

Thanks esetters21, I have found his phone number and have contacted him regarding the cat thing I messaged you about. It's being looked after. I'm just sitting here now waiting, with the kitty beside me making a bed in the blanket on my couch.

I wish I could keep this cat, and give her the home she obviously used to have... most street cats here are feral, and don't purr in your lap.

Do you know if there are ways to donate? I can't keep a pet here, but I'd like to know where I could donate, or be of some other help. Thanks.
