Hello,
Anybody know where you can rent tuxedos, etc. in Seoul? I am, in fact, looking to purchase or rent a black bow tie and black cummerbund. I imagine there must be some kind of market area in Seoul that caters to weddings etc. I'm a little short for time here and am not interested in getting something tailored. Thank you in advance for help you can offer me. Cheers. |

Update:
The wedding hall actually HAS a tux in my size. They can make adjustments. I'm shocked (I'm about 6'3" and 225 pounds).
Tux rental will be under 200,000 won for 2 separate wear dates (photos in a few weeks, and the wedding later). Much cheaper than having one made. The bride's dress rental for two dates is 500,000. That seemed high, but they gave us a 1.5 million won deduction off of the wedding total price because our wedding is during a slow time of year for Korean weddings.
We are skipping the hanbok/Korean traditional food bit, which would cost us maybe another million for the stupid food and at least another 500,000 for clothes for that.
We checked around, and having a tux made is going to be around 500,000 with all of the accessories.
All total, this wedding is going to cost 7 million won, including most of the food. Her mom is spending another 800,000 to charter a bus for people to come from Busan to Seoul and back that day. We will take whatever we make during the wedding in cash and apply it towards those expenses. Hopefully, we will approach break-even.
Here is a great site for wedding cards: http://www.barunsoncard.co.kr/ |
