And I guess I mean short! I'm teaching middle school student's essay writing and would love to show them some simple short stories. Anyone have any ideas? I want, particularly, to teach the basic principles of structure and it would be great to have some examples. I guess they can be in any format (text or A/V).
Links and ideas would be much appreciated. |

Essays follow a different structure than short stories. If it's an essay you want, simply write a basic one with the intro, body and conclusion.
Here's a outline off the top of my head:
Title: My dog Samson
Intro: Describing the dog quickly.
Thesis statement: This essay will describe my dog's favorite games, favorite food and favorite places to pee.
Body: Main point 1: My dog's favorite games.
Main point 2: My dog's favorite food.
Main point 3: My dog's favorite places to pee.
Conclusion: Quick summary and closing statement. |
