Guess Who is a great game for beginners to learn how to ask and answer about physical descriptions.

Someone mentioned twister...I can see this as a good general activity but can't imagine how to apply it to EFL. Any ideas...

The age/level of your students is important here. If they're older, Stare Junior is a GREAT game. The level is pretty low, but it's about what you SEE and not what you know. Word-up is good for high-school and up. You may have to modify it a little for large classes and make it a Jeopardy-style game with teams. Boggle is good for small classes. Quiddler also ok.

My students love jeopardy in all forms. You don't need anything, you can make up the topics and questions as you go. If it's a grammar class, just write the 5 topics they have been studying across the top and ask question about it.

a sample 5 topics.... synonyms, vocabulary, reading(some facts from a previous reading story) backwards spelling, and mystery topic.
Mystery topic can get everybody involved. The students who don't speak out much, ask a question you know they will know, "what's the longest snake in the world?" etc...
