Walking home after work in Gangnam I saw a huge neon Ferrari sign. It had the same Ferrari logo and it was posted all over the building. It looked to realistic that I thought it was some kind of Ferrari office until I noticed the sign underneath ' special massage '.
Is this legal in SK? How can a company get away with blatantly misusing a company name and logo like this. Especially a brothel... |

They just do it, and the Korean gov't won't bother them, unless Ferrari ponies-up the cash to hire Korean lawyers and go after them.
If it were called the Hyundai brothel, it would be a different story. |

Copyright and intellectual property rights in Korea? ha ha ha
I like how the pink Energizer battery bunny from the USA is Duracell's mascot in Korea. How'd that happen? |

They probably offer a discount to Hyundai workers.
The sad, inside truth is that room salons are paid-for with company credit cards. It's part of the perks of being a higher-level salary-man, or in management. These companies control Korean men through their penises.
Never forget that it's often the KOREAN WIFE who controls the money at home. How else would Korean men be able to hide millions of won in charges to room salons and barber shops? Some of it is "secret money" they hoard from their wives for whoring, but the big money is all charged though company credit cards as part of a business expense.
I had a Korean female friend who worked on staff to handle all of the travel arrangements for Samsung executives. She had a list of numbers for pimps in Thailand. She also told me they paid extra for girls who didn't require condoms.
That brothel named Hyundai probably uses that name to advertise a discount for Hyundai office workers. |

ive seen countless copyright infringements and false advertising in the ROK but this was especially bizarre. They even used the trademark red color, if it was green maybe I wouldn't have taken the time to care. |

For real. Watch for the commercials or just go check out the battery section at a dept. store. Energizer has a "battery-man-superhero" mascot here, not the bunny, because Duracell has the bunny. I even sent an ink pen with the Duracell pink bunny back to the USA for my family. |

This, from Wikipedia:
The Duracell bunny predates the Energizer Bunny, which actually began as a parody of the Duracell bunny toys that became a collectible item. People often get the two confused, although there are distinct differences between the two. There are differences in appearance the Energizer bunny wears sunglasses, has larger ears, is a different shade of pink and has a different body shape. Also, while the Energizer bunny is a single rabbit, the Duracell bunnies are a species. The Energizer bunny is always depicted with a drum, as the Duracell bunny toys of which it is a parody had drums, but the actual Duracell bunny advertising campaign has moved beyond this, and Duracell bunnies are usually depicted as doing something other than beating a drum. |
