I read the other day Shinsagae has licensed the Gap/BR name. Of course don't expect 38" waist chinos any time soon. |

Damn.... Gap used to be my favourite place for getting the elusive 32" waist, 36" leg. Although the daily intake of rice and kimchi, coupled with sitting on my a$$ for long periods of time has probably pushed my waist up to a 34 now. |

Gap is going down hill, they are losing money big time, the son of founder took over CEO position recently. |

Expect a Korean version named GOP, GIP, GEP or GUP to be opened soon a la the Starpreya example. I further predict a lot of fees for IP lawyers being spent followed by a victory for Korean retailing. |

If you think apples and bananas are the same then you've been eating mutant fruits.
I was trying to say that Giordano and Gap are nothing alike. |

There already is. I think it's called PAM. Same font. Same logo. Indeed Conus (formerly Eigen Post whatever the fork that means) also copies the logo.
But yeah, as pointed out GAP has been well copied here. Conus comes to mind. Giordano is an HK company but they're Gap-y. WHO A.U. is, of course, A&F. |

There is a already a GAP store in Space9- Yongsan. Its all the stuff you would find in GAP outlets in America except 300% price increase. Which is what I assume will be coming to Shinsegae. |

Great, another ridiculously overpriced line of clothing in Korea. Can't wait.
cannot believe the prices in some of these foreign label clothes stores.
Gotta be pretty dumb to shop there. |

Or even more amazing, a crappy Korean knock off line like Bean Pole ("whatever RL does, lets just copy") dares to charge the same prices. I mean, where do they get off? |
