Quote:
A new and virulent strain of adenovirus, which frequently causes the common cold, killed 10 people in parts of the United States earlier this year and put dozens into hospitals, U.S. health officials said on Thursday.

Adenoviruses frequently cause acute upper respiratory tract infections like the common cold, but also can cause other illnesses including inflammation of the stomach and intestines, pink eye, bladder infection and rashes.

Next time you see one of your kids with a bout of pink eye, run like hell.

Or make him stand in the corner as a quarantine measure.

My guess is that common viruses spread like wildfire in Korea, because sick people will not stay at home until they are better, time off work is viewed as shirking duty. Neither do they cover their mouths when coughing.

Neither do they wash hands often enough or when needed, not to mention the policy of eating from the same bowl.

Getting onto the topic of HIV I'd say korea is a ticking timebomb too with widescale prostitution and unprotected sex.

All in All Korea is a society almost designed to assist the spread of infection.
