If there are clauses in my contract I know need to be changed, do I type it in as I want it written, or leave that up to the school and recruiter, then just review their changes before I sign?

I've already emailed my recruiter with the changes I suggested for the contract. I figure it will either be negotiated to something I can live with and what every EFL teacher in SK is entitled to, or I'll just wait for an offer that does.
