I got a letter in the mail saying that I could extend my Visa online. I went to the website and I had a hard time finding the link.
If I have to visit an immigration office in person, do I have to go to the one near Insadong (or any other big office), or can I go to my local Daechi-dong gov't office to do this?

Sorry, you are right. I mistyped it in the first place, but still I can't find the section where it says I can apply for a visa extension (I need to extend it for 4 days!!)
Under the visa extension section, it gives no option to apply online.... |

| You have to go to your local immigration office. Someone at your school should be able to tell you where that is. It may be your Daechi-dong gov't office, but then again it may not. I live in Wonju and the nearest office is in chungchun, but they send officers to Wonju on the 2nd and 4th Friday of each month. So, maybe it is the same there. As for applying on line, I also got a letter about two months before my VISA expired, but it didn't say anything about being able to apply online. It just said that I could get VISA information online. |
