In addition to not knowing Korean enough, I think there is a problem running some programs in the Korean version of Windows. I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to get around this besides installing an English version of Windows. |

If the computer was installed with normal korean windows there's nothing for it. You need english windows.
If by some stroke of luck it was installed with the multi-lingual version of windows you can switch it in your options somewhere. Google it to find out. |

no.
but there is an add-on for English windows that let's you change the interface to other languages. Note this add on only works for English windows. |

Actually, there is. More or less. It's called MUI. I forget if it's an add on or separate version of windows or both, but it definitely exists. |

it's an add on and only works for English windows. You can Add Korean to English windows but you can not add English to Korean windows. |

There is a multi-language XP. It's called MUI I'm pretty sure, pretty much made for multi-national corporations who need to do stuff in many different languages. They can change the language for different users without having to re-install the whole OS. I think it's only like $10 more than the regular version.

Triple MUI posts. Bam!
Yeah, it's entirely possible that you can only add it to English version boxes. I do know you can't add English without buying something. That's certain. |

There is no multi-language Windows XP O/S. MUI is just an interface that allows the user to change the language of the drop down menus, help files and such things on much of the software that runs on windows. That is if your software supports usage of MUI in all of it's supported languages. Most software I've seen runs well with the interface (in its target language); but, if you want to install a driver, that isn't english, then you will run into problems. |
