Hey everyone!

I'm already here in Korea.

I want to teach in a high school in Seoul. Where do I go about doing this?

The main office of education only places you in Middle and Elementary schools, so where do I find out about applying to High schools here in Seoul?

website??

Also, anyone a teacher at a high school? How is it?

Thanks! Have a great day!

Why High School?

I went from Middle School to High School in the hope of being able to communicate better with students, but it brought on a whole raft of other problems-specifically,spoilt brat adolescents.(Mine was the worst performing school in a rich area though)

I see.

My kids are loud and immature. They are enjoyable at times, but they are at that stage of immaturity. I guess it differs from school to school, but I taught at a high school here in Korea before, and I enjoyed teaching them much better. I thought my former high school had fewer discipline problems, and by that stage, they were preparing for their college entrance exams, so they were more serious about their studies. I guess it could be different here.

By the way, where did you get your high school job in Seoul?

thanks!

Actually,it was on the periphery of Seoul(Bundang)and I just got it through a rubbishy recruiter as I was leaving the country for a holiday.

Before I accepted it though,I tried to get a HS job in central-ish Seoul.I never did find the appropiate contact person, assuming they exist.

I'd approach schools directly.Find a list of schools on the various gu(Gangnam-gu,Seocho-gu etc)sites, get a list and take it from there.
