I brought my Xbox 360 over from Canada and then went down to Yongsan to buy a Step down power transformer. Problem is when I plug it into my TV the picture is fuzzy and discoloured. Shouldn't the AV be compatible?
Should I invest in a new TV (other than the one that came with my apartment) or is it possible the problem is elsewhere? i would love to hear from others who brought their 360s over. |

you probably have to change from ntsc to pal. it should be an option on the tv (if the controls are in korean good luck), however you might be able to change the xbox, just look at the display settings till you find one that works.
That or the fact that the tv that came with your apartment is probably an old crappy one and if you have a nice new xbox then why not make the best use of it with a nice high def tv?

| Uh, Korea and Canada both use the NTSC format, not PAL so that isn't the problem. Are you sure the switch on your xbox cable isn't set to HDTV? I had a problem with mine giving me NO picture at all, and it was simply due to the fact that it was on HDTV when it should have been switched to "TV". A small thing but that could be the problem. |

I brought my 360 over and have had no problems. Check the switch on the composite cable like the above poster said--that may be it.
Not to hijack this thread, but has anybody's 360 RROD'd on them in Korea? How was that, getting it replaced? |

| Thanks for the help. I ended up carrying it to my hogwan and since it works on the television here the problem is most definitely with my set. |
