Has anyone ever experienced any problems with ordering goods online at Amazon.com?

I ask this because fairly recently I ordered about eight books off that site and they were sent to my address in Korea in two separate batches. The first box of six books arrived on time as estimated, but the second box of two books which should have arrived around the 17 October still hasn't turned up.
Do Korean customs have a habit of blocking packages from arriving or has it just gotton lost/stolen somewhere along the way?

I did contact Amazon and they have sent me a new order at no extra cost, so hopefully that will arrive eventually, but I am a little curious as to what might have happened to the original.

I've ordered a few times from em, no problems. I think as long as your order is less than $150 USD including shipping the you're ok to not pay customs tax too.

Actually, hell it might be 150,000 won...not entirely sure.

I've ordered movies from there with no problems.

There is something on the customs site about bringing books into this country. I think if you ship a few, you're fine. If you ship many, as you did, maybe you'll get flagged.

I've ordered bunches over the years and have never had a problem. I think your experience is just a random foul-up at the post office.

I've been wondering about this:

Clearly you have no problem playing DVDs sent from out of the country. Did you have to tinker with your DVD player?

Get an all region DVD player. I got mine from Yongsan for like 70,000 won I think. Some guy near the tunnel with all the phones.
