I don't have a foot fetish, but I can't help noticing Koreans' toes now that the summer is here and so many women are wearing open-toed shoes.

So many have a second toe that is longer than the big toe. I have seen quite a few really extreme examples where the second toe extends nearly an inch beyond the big toe and other toes.

I have never noticed this at all back home, but in Korea it is so common that it is noticable. On Friday night I was with six girls in a bar, and ALL of them had the long second toe. I think there can be no doubt that this long toe is far more common in Korea than elsewhere.

Could it be a physical defect resulting from centuries of constant in-breeding?

Has anyone else noticed this?

What constant inbreeding?

The Mongols, Chinese and Japanese have been spreading their seed here nicely.

I think there is no doubt that Koreans have interbred less with other ethnicities than most other peoples.

lots of people have long second toes...mine is a tiny bit longer, and i had a friend back home who had a freakishly long one. just human diversity/genetics.

i'd rather know what's with them painting only the big toenail?

my gf's got the longer second toe. she's got little brown monkey feet, as i tell her.

yep, so satisfying to find physical defects in someone who's a lot more physically attractive than i am.

No, this isn't racist at all. It's something I've noticed here that I haven't seen anywhere else. Noticing a physical difference does not amount to racism.

Why do so many Koreans wear glasses then?

Is that down to inbreeding. It's a common trait in China as well. Is there an Asian gene that causes bad eyesight?

I thought this subject was supposed to be about how ugly their feet are and how they should cover them up instead of flaunt them!!

noticing a physical difference IS racism, or can you point out that some people are nappy-headed?

I don't think they have inbred.

I am reather interested in the glasses thing though.

My classes in Thailand maybe one or two kids wore glasses. Interestingly it was most of the kids who were Sino-Thai.

Korea lots of my kids wear glasses. When I worked in a dirty hagwon most of the kids wore glasses.

Options could be

1) A genetic defect.
2) Richer kids get more eye checks and find out they have problems
3) Fashion
4) Overprotective parents

I don't think everybody is. Just the ones who have a narrower field of vision.

I suspect a dominant gene myself.
