Hello everyone,

I have been getting into hiking the mountain trails. Though I haven't ever seen another foreigner on a trail, I came to appreciate hiking Korea when some Korean guys took me hiking several months ago and now I often go to the foot of mountains and find all these trails everywhere with exercise equipment installed in outdoor areas along the beautiful trails which is a huge benefit of being here. I do feel very safe and confident about going on the mountain trails, even by myself. I am feeling really good now that I am getting exercise and fresh air. It also is the best cure to a hangover. Many of these mountain forests are temperate rain forests which is why they are so beautiful and are one of the rarest types of natural environments on Earth. While the valleys are plagued with horrible styled modern constructions and pollution, the mountain trails are an excellent way to add a healthy balance to your living in Korea.

My only problem is not knowing how to get to all the great places outside of Changwon in a time efficient manner as I am looking to venture out further with people who know places like Jirisan and many others.

It is strange to do anything alone in Korea and I would like company, so does anyone want to join me on a weekend hiking trip?

I do hikes on the weekends, but also do short 1 hour hikes on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday with my 2 hour 45 minute lunch break which I use to collect mountain spring water in my bottles on the trail near my villa and school.
