| How big and how popular is Daejeon? I mean, is there a lot to do? Is it as big as Seoul? I'm curious how busy Daejeon is. Is it just like Seoul with a lot of people, pollution, noise, parties, clubs, blackmarkets, shopping malls...etc? |

Allow me to be more helpful.
Daejeon is a cool place. It is nowhere near as big as Seoul but has everything that you need. I think the population is roughly 1.5 million. Transport links are excellent, with a new subway system and easy access to Seoul and Busan via KTX (Seoul is about 55 minutes).
There are plenty of places to hang out at weekends, with 2 or 3 main foreigner bars if thats your thing. There are various mountains surrounding the city which have good hiking trails.
There are 2 large e-marts and Homever's (that i know of, there may be more) and a Costco.
If you want big city convenience without the hustle and bustle of Seoul I would say it is a good choice. |

That sounds like Santa's yeah. To be honest, they are not that great. Probably the best is a place called Brickhouse which is in the downtown area of Jung-gu. There is also Jay's Club in Doonsan-dong which sometimes has some good drinks deals. |

Yes they are everywhere. I think typical prices are 50,000w a month. |

| Is Daejeon a place where younger people can have fun? I know Seoul has so much to do at night and so many people...chicks to meet. Are there a lot of hot chicks in Daejeon and a nightlife? |

I lived in Daejeon for a year in 2004-2005. Didn't really like it, but there are a few things that make it liveable. The problem was that Daejeon didn't have a subway when I was there (does it now??). I lived in Samchun Dong, and it cost 10k in a taxi to get anywhere downtown.
But it's only an hour away from Seoul. |
