We have had 2 adult budgies since around July or so and are looking to give them away. The blue is male (Aragorn) and the green is female (Arwen).
My girlfriend and I are heading back to America and are only concerned with getting them a good home and not necessarily getting any money for them.
They are very sweet and low-maintenance pets that are not yet hand-trained. The birds can be chirpy in the morning but are not as loud as larger parrots. They can also be left alone for a weekend without worry unlike cats or dogs that need constant supervision.
Weve made upgrades to the cage which includes a ladder, cuttlefish bone and an additional perch. They come with cage and all as well as 3 and a half bags of spray millet which can be used to train them. We also bought a hanging perch that was too big for the cage but could be used should they become hand-tamed. The cage is incredibly easy to clean as there is a white dish below the wires that you can slide in and out to empty when it gets too messy.
We are leaving in about 3 weeks and are seeking a home for them ASAP. If you are interested or have any questions, please send a message and I will respond with a phone number. I will respond within 24 hours but will be leaving town Saturday (11/10) and wont be back until Sunday (11/11) evening.
We live near Sanggye station (stop #410) and would prefer to have them picked up from our apartment.
Note: Stand in picture is not included.

Aw, I used to have a budgie back home. Actually, Aragorn looks a lot like my old budgie. It's true that they are very easy to care for!
How old are the budgies? |

I'm not sure exactly how old they are because we bought them on the street in Sindang. They were already adults when we bought them.
As far as buying food, usually you can find a pet store near you that sells bird seed. We bought ours around the same area as the birds but have seen it other places. The bag lasted us awhile so I've only had to buy it once. |

We called them parakeets when I was growing up. Is that incorrect? |

noun
any of numerous small, slender parrots, usually having a long, pointed, graduated tail, often kept as pets and noted for the ability to mimic speech: several species are endangered.
so i guess technically you weren't incorrect. |

After a few people have expressed interest, they have backed out at the last minute or else are only willing to take them as a last resort.
To answer a previous question, you can buy bird seed at a local Lotte Mart. It's not too difficult to find a place.
If you are interested, we are looking to give them away ASAP! Please send a PM with a contact phone number and I will call you in the mornings this week to hopefully set up a time this weekend to have them picked up. |
