For all you photographers out there...
I am planning to buy a Nikon D80, hopefully the body only. Because there are so many interchangeable lenses out there, does anyone know a good, reliable place to buy used Nikkor lenses out there? Any suggestions for me? Or, do you think my best bet here is just to buy it new with a lens/lenses? |

| You need to go to Namdaemun for all the camera stores. Lots of choices there. |

Be well informed about your camera and lens choices AND the current pricing of same. Be aware of the difference between a gray market and not gray market camera - in terms of pricing and after sales service.
Then go to either the Namdaemun market camera shops or the guys in the Nanjin arcade by Yongsan station.
Stand firm on what you are willing to pay or move on. |

I totally agree with you. Do some homework first. |

A few years ago a friend took me to a camera shop district, But i cant for the life of my remember where it was. I think it was around Chungmuro Stn. or Dongdaemun Stn. but I am probably wrong. I went back a few months ago to try and find it, but didnt have any luck.
It was a bunch of streets full of camera shops - Canon store, old school cameras, print/press shops. Pretty much everything photography related.
Anyone know where this is?? Subway stop and Exit #?? All I remember is that I walked out the exit and 100m or so, and then turned right into the side streets full of camera goods/print press shops.

clark, thanks for pointing traffic in my direction!
actually, i have a good guide to buying cameras in korea. including directions to a very reliable store in namdaemun.
i've recommended the store to a lot of foreigners and they all agree that he's a good seller.
