Just watched Nader on CNN. He is strongly considering running for President again. Sine it looks like pro-war Hillary is going to get the Dems nomination I really hope he does. The anti-war movement needs someone to vote for. I respect Ron Paul but he is too right wing on domestic issues for many of us.

Does this mean he prefers Giuliani to Clinton? (I hold him personally responsible for Bush being in the White House today.)

I'm sure the Republicans will give him money again, in hopes that he might hand them another election. *sneers*

No. It is just the difference between the two is not great enough to give the people any option. Both candidates support keeping troops in Iraq and are hawkish towards Iran.

Nader did not cost Gore the 2000 election. Many Nader supporters stated that they would not have voted at all if he wasn't running. Plus Al Gore couldn't even win his home state. So lets put that canard to rest.

Anyway, if Ron Paul runs as an independant than the Dems can't complain about Naders running. Paul will be "stealing votes" from the Republicans.

You interpret things how you want to. I'll never be convinced that a couple hundred Nadar voters in Florida would have switched their votes if Ralph had stayed home.

Indeed.

Ron Paul as an Independent = Republican Victory.

Ralph Nader as an Independent = Republican Victory.

Right, that's just a canard Nader took advantage of to get funding from the GOP in 2000. Pay no attention to such fund-raising vagueries.

The Dems should give money to Ron Paul if they want to.

By the way, if Ross Perot didn't run for President in 1992 would Bill Clinton have gotten elected?

As for Hillary she voted for the Kyl-Lieberman amendment just like she voted to invade Iraq. So it doesn't make much difference if Guiliani wins over her. Maybe the bombing of Iran is delayed by a few months if she wins but it still happens.

No, he wouldn't have. Thank you, RP.

What is this with Texans with the initials RP anyway? Are all Texans with those initials wing-nuts?

That comment gave me an excuse to top this thread.

But I can see how one with such opinions would be attracted to Nader.

Go Ralph go.

IF both Paul and Nader run it will be great. They will suck up the entire anti war and anti establishment vote.
