Our Korea Carruseles Meetup Group is growing slowly but surely. One of our tools is meetup.com which has brought us 3 members in just a week....i.e. people who were looking for a salsa community (especially an expat one) to plug into.

Point is.....we've got an overabundance of ladies right now and we sure could use some guys to join our merry group. We're undoubtedly going to continue to grow and we'll be adding both more men and ladies....but for now we could use some guys.

Here's our two websites that we use:

www.koreacarruseles.com and http://salsa.meetup.com/343/ . You can get more info there but basically what we're about is a group of people who either like or are interested in learning how to do casino style salsa...AKA: casino rueda. We're starting to get together on a regular basis, I give a free class and then we have social dancing the rest of the evening.

We have our 'meetups' for now at Top Salsa Club, Seoul's newest and biggest new salsa club located just 5 minutes from Exit #2 of the Apgujeong subway station. Directions and some videos on how to get there are on my Korea Carruseles site.

Seriously though, casino rueda style salsa is super cool because you can not only dance with one partner but you can also dance with a group of couples. In that case, the girls often change partners while they're dancing. Look up 'casino rueda' on youtube and you'll see what I mean.

Casino rueda isn't hard to learn. If do any kind of dancing at all or have any feeling for music at all...you can probably do it. And most importantly, it's done in a friendly social atmosphere of other people who simply enjoy the music (like you do) and enjoy sharing the 'boogie feeling' together.

We're basically a dance oriented social club and as we grow we'll undoubtedly have other functions. But for now our weekly meeting is at Top Salsa. You're invidted to sign up (it's totally free and there's no obligation of any kind) on our site at http://salsa.meetup.com/343/ . That'll insure you get all our event notifications.

This coming Saturday will be our third meetup there at Top Salsa Club and you're invited to get into our group while it'll be easy to know everybody. Gimme a call if you have any questions.

Keep those feet moving!
