[The Chewbacca Defense]

I live near Giruem Station and i'm looking for an art supplies store nearby. I want to buy an easel, paints, brushes etc. Any help would be appreciated.

It's not nearby, but if you take a short trip to Hongdae, you can find a good selection of art supply stores. The one I go to is just near the main gate of Hongik University. If you're walking directly up the hill toward the gate, turn right and then look on the left side of the street. There's a shop about a block past the main gate that is very well stocked and has a friendly staff. You'll recognize it by all the easels outside . Note that it's closed on Sunday.

You can also go to Insadong, there's a nice shop at the north end of the street near the bakery. It has contemporary supplies as well as the large selection of calligraphy brushes that you can find in many of the other stores in the area.

There's a small one in Suyu which may a bit closer for you. It's not the largest store in the world but you will be able to pick up all of the items you listed.

It's near Duksung Women�s University. You can catch either the 120 or 153 bus from the subway or catch a cab (probably about a 2500 fare). It's on the main road heading towards Ui-dong. The store will be on the side of the road you get off at and is about a block before the lane leading to the uni. They have canvasses and easels out the front so keep your eyes open.
