I went to buy some AA and AAA rechargeables at LotteMart yesterday. Usually two run about 6500. They've jumped up in price to about 8000+. Geez.

Anyone with contacts in the UK can think about getting some from 7dayshop.com .

2700mA AA's for 1 a piece ($2).
Seriously put of by the ripoff prices at most of the stores. Bound to be cheaper online here though?

The Korean brand rechareables are a couple bucks cheaper. I've bought them before but they don't last very long.

I would suggest eneloop batteries by Sanyo. You can get them on-line for a reasonable price and they have an advantage over other brands (or they did when I bought them). They maintain their charge much longer when just sitting around. In fact, they come pre-charged and are ready to use right out of the box. From their website:

Quote:

The key-advantage of the eneloop compared to usual rechargeable batteries is its extremely low self-discharge.

Once charges, eneloop keeps its charge even if you store it for 6 or 12 months.

( 90 per cent of the charge after 6 months, 85 per cent after 12 months )
