Not when you're messing with the show. Hecklers either get thrown out or shouted down by the comic at stand up shows. That's just the way it goes. Disrupting a comedy show for any reason than other to be funny, and I've seen comics outshown by hecklers, is ridiculous.

What Bill said during the show was right:

If you are in the audience, you are there to listen. The debate is between him and the panel guests.

I guess these nut bags are protesting out side of the studio too. I figure they figured a liberal guy like him would totally be in their 9/11 fantasy corner. He's liberal because he's smart and thoughtful. Which means he's not going to buy into a paranoid delusion by liberals who feel so powerless in Bush's America that they got to try and pin this one on Bush.

mr. maher learned his lesson when he lost his previous job for calling the US military cowards. he ain't gonna let nothing come between him and his fat paychecks anymore.
maher is not part of the solution.

Did he call the U.S. military cowards? Or did he lose his job because he said that the the 9-11 hijackers were not cowards?

He lost his job because he said the 911 hijackers were not cowards. Get your facts straight. There's enough disinformation and spin and mis-remembered "facts" out there as it is.

I used to think differently but now know this to be fact.

He took a perfectly good chance to make fun of a heckler and just whined like a spoiled brat. I thought he used to be in stand-up. Hecklers are a golden opportunity if you are witty enough (see Bill Hicks, David Cross, Charlie Murphy).

patton oswalt handled a heckler brilliantly on his latest cd. i think that might have been the funniest part of the cd. (well, not really. but it was damn funny.)

One of the most classic recent pieces of Yankee TV.

AUDIENCE (latin for "those who listen") Kewl.

Anyone remember DONAHUE? The way he used to go around through the audience with his mic &
actually ASK QUESTIONS.

Why doesn't the esteemed & noble Mayer do this? Afraid of what people might actually have to say on matters of world affairs?

Where's 21st Century AmeriKa's DONAHUE?

Even Oprah Rolling Eyes

Does she even ever get her fat-assed multi-billion $$$ booty up off her Royal recliner anymore?

Why so little studio audience interaction these days? Who decides each PROGRAM FORMAT?

Speaking of prescribing medication, i wonder where Mayer stands on ... televalium?

hey. it's been a while since i've seen you use that 'AmeriKa' thing. you still haven't told me what it's supposed to mean? surely it's more than just you wanting to highlight your own spelling mistakes.
