Anyone ever see a model train or hobby store that has quality electric trains in Seoul? I'm a bit of a collector and am looking for some Japanese made (Kato) N scale or H scale locomotives..etc.
Anyone? |

Coex - there is a puzzle shop that I think also has model trains. |

I'm actually a bit of a lead soldiers fan myself. I've got some great hand painted (by myself) figurines from The Battle of Waterloo and The Lord of the Rings.
I'm just wondering if anyones seen any of these things available in Korea. |

Did you happen to notice if they were electric trains? |

Yeah, there are two hobby stores in COEX. There is a puzzle place by the aquarium, but I don't think they have models, but you may as well see for sure. The other is near the lower level of UNIQLO and the Gelatto place. They have tonnes of Japanese models and such, but I am willing to bet it will be super pricey in there. |

I actually know a place that has *exactly* what you want. Go to Samgakji station, take a cab towards sinyongsan, and while the cab is going, keep looking out the window to your right. After about 1 or 2 minutes of driving you should see a hobby shop full of trains and whatnot. |

Nambu Bus Terminal. Exit 3. Walk 50m, go in the tower block to your right.
Kukje Centre (?) It has lots of floor like Yongsan with cameras, computers, home appliances , mobile phones etc. On the top floor ( 9 or 10) is the game area, x-box, ps, etc and there is also a model shop which has model railway supplies. Japanese trains, tracks and controllers. Kitset buildings and also a limited variety of materials for scratch building.
There is a shop ( www.orctown.com) which has Warhammer supplies, such as figures, building panits etc. They would probably have cast metal pieces there as well. |

I've got a HUGE Lionel collection back home that I inherited from my granddad. I'd love to pick up a few more pieces if I could without buying on the internet (too many fakes out there). I'll have to check this place out. |
