Since being in Korea, have any of you found changes in yourself for the better? I'm talking about character, not outward changes. How have you adapted and become acculturated toward things Korean?

Basically, I'm finding all of my problems are due to the language barrier. I think that learning the language is now much more essential than before.

In this regard, I'm less apt to react in anger. I feel more accepting. I also no longer feel my cultural norms are the one and only, such as saying Thank you all the time and being continuously and sometimes obsequiously, kind.

How has Korea changed me?

I've taken to speaking at full volume on the phone and yelling, "HELLO? HELLO?" whenever the person on the other end pauses for a second.

And I've also learned the joy of pissing against the nearest convenient wall... at all hours of the day.

Try reading, really reading, the post next time before you try to show off your 'twit.'
