I read somewhere that immediately after the Second World War, Kim Il Sung gave a speech in which he thanked the US for helping to defeat Japan. I wonder if this is the first time since then that the Norks have officially said something good about the Yanks? |

Well that's a decent gesture, largely appropriate mind you based on
the mainstream news reports we were exposed to.
QUESTION:
Did it ever come to light what precise CAR-GO the ship had on board? What was the ship doing in the area?
"Illicit" drugs, WMDs, black market goods?
If any of these were the case, the NORKS presumably had even more of a reason to
thank the US Navy for " ... helping out"  |
