How are you supplying your prospective Employer with a "Criminal Background Check"??? What exactly is it that they need? How long did it take? Was it clearly explained to you exactly what they wanted or has it been left completely vague??
Anything that you have found out about the process that might be of interest to anyone applying right now from the States?
I'm concerned about getting all this rolling before I start sending out applications.
Thanks for the info! |

Your state police department should be able to handle it. You can go online and download whatever application you need, fill it out, get it notarized, pay a fee (postal money order or cashiers check) and then send it off. I think it takes 7 to 10 business days... or something.
You would definitely be wise to "get the ball rolling" now before sending out applications. It'll be one less hassle for you when it comes time to send documents to immigration. |
