If I get a RT ticket to leave Korea in Janaury and then use it's return portion to get back for a public school job in late February, how would public school reimburse you on your travel to Korea?

Would they reimburse you half of the RT ticket cost?

Who knows with the new regs coming down the pipe but the standard GEPIK contract only pays for a visa run if you are already in Korea.

SMOE will pay an in-country teacher the cost of the plane ticket to come over (if recently came over) OR the visa run cost.

In the GEPIK contract it states that you'll be paid for a one way ticket back to your home country. If you sign on with a different school then they'll pay for a one way ticket to get you back to Korea.

Sounds reasonable. I think thats how Gangwondo would handle it. Be prepared to show an official receipt from your booking agent (as well as your e-ticket).

And after you send in your paperwork, you have to 'hound them'.
If they say they'll reimburse you in 1 week, call back 1 day before and ask if they have.
You will have to be diligent. They are not likely to outright cheat you, but if you don't stay on them, they will forget.
