Well, at least a personal record.

I've been sick lately with a bad cold--at least that's all I hope it is--and I've been coughing a lot, so I hadn't slept well in the last 4 days (I try not to take any medication, because I want my immune system to take care of it on its own). Plus work has been really stressful lately.

My hogwan gets out late, so Friday night I got home around 11:30pm. I went on the internet a bit, watched a couple of episodes of Entourage, then went to bed at around 4:00am, still coughing.

At one point I looked at the clock and it was only about 6:00. Man, I've only been laying here for two hours, I thought. I got up and took a leak then went back to bed. The next time I looked at the clock it said 10:08. I looked out the window and it was dark out. What the fuc.k!! I look at the clock again, still 10:08. Then I look closer at the little light on the clock, and next to it, it said PM. Now I start freakin' out. Where am I? What day is it? What the hell is going on?. I lept up and turned my computer on to see what time it really was. 10:11pm, Saturday!

I slept for *beep* ing 18 hours!

When I got up at 6:00 to take the leak, it must have been 6:00pm. I thought it was 6:00am. At that point, I had already slept 14 hours, right through the day. Then I went back for another four!

What a freaky feeling that was.

Did I break a record?

I had the same sort of day, less the cold. I went to be at about 4 am after work on Friday. Woke up at 2 pm today. Went back to sleep again at about 8 pm and woke up well past 11 pm. About 13 hours of sleep.

A lot of my Saturdays can be like that. For me, it comes from not getting a lot of sleep during the work week i.e. staying up until 6 am, sometimes 8 or 9 am, during the week and rolling into work at 2 pm. Plus I didn't really sleep after work on Monday because I had to go to Seoul for something. Worked all day Tuesday with no sleep under my belt.

Oh man, you were dead exhausted. Maybe your insomnia is keeping you sickly. I know I had this problem at times too, especially in my first 3 months in Korea. I had it happen many times where I was like, "What happened to my weekend?".

How did I know a picture of Scarlett Johansson would end up in this thread? There should be a picture of her in every thread.

I rarely sleep more than 6 hours a day, and usually 5 hours. Often less, like 4. If I sleep 8 hours, I had forced my self to just lie in bed, and it wasn't really sleep. Embarassed

I have no idea what you are talking about. Cool

I might have slept like 12 hours once when I was a kid and had a fever. Just how I'm made, and I wonder sometimes if I will die early because of it. Shocked Shocked Shocked

funny you should mention 18...

I slept for 18 hours straight once, got up for a bathroom break and went back to sleep for another six hours right thereafter for an even 24 hours total.

I hadn't slept from Sunday morning until Thursday evening in order to complete term papers in four university courses at semester's end and even though my body after that period did not want to sleep - was in an odd zombie zone - once I put my head down on a pillow and waited for 10 minutes, then it was lights out for 24 hours (I have no memory of the pee break at hour 18, my father informs me I got up for that).

I haven't slept less than 12 hours in days. Sleeping alot is the best part of being sick. Thursday I slept 20 hours with two bathroom breaks. I woke up feeling hungover.

My wife once slept 23 hours. She got up once to eat and a few times for water and to go to the bathroom.

No record anytime soon. I think someone in a coma has your time beat Smile
