Was thinking of starting up a get together where people could practice their Spanish language skills. I'm not sure if anyone on this forum speaks spanish or is interested in learning or not... but I thought I would toss the idea out there... anyone interested in the idea? I have a Spanish/Latin American Studies degree so I can atleast speak. ANyone interested?

I used to live in Peru and am heading to Spain next year so would be definitely interested in a study/social group.

I live in Changwon but would be able to get over to Busan for one weekend a month. A friend of mine who is married to an engineer here is from Spain. She might be interested too. When and where were you thinking?

Hey

I used to live in a town called Chachapoyas, which was about 9 hours inland from Chiclayo and 2500 metres up in the Andes. It has a population of 25000 with only 3 English speakers, so needless to say, my Spanish level increased greatly!!

I have been back in Korea since August 2005, working at a university in Changwon, close to Busan. Since coming back, my level has really dropped, but I keep my hand in with self-study and my friend, Maria is Spanish and married to an engineer here so we chat from time to time.

I wrote you a longer reply in response to your PM but the forum won't let me reply to PMs as apparently I haven't posted enough! My email though is:

I am lower level as well and live in Seoul. If you or any one else is up for it maybe we can organize something.

Si, Bueno!
But I'd be down for a Seoul grouping.
Took 5 years in high school and 1 in college and spent 6 months in Argentina. I'm not a great speaker but don't want to lose what I have.

Hi everyone, I'm new to this board.

I too am studying Spanish but am at the lower level. I'll be moving to Spain next Autumn, so would definately be interested in some kind of get to together / group learning experience etc.... I live around the Seoul area.

Any of you guys who have also expressed interest in Seoul - are you good organisers...? I'm not, sadly...

I do think though, that for us that don't live in central / south central Seoul, a more central location than Gangnam would be better, perhaps Itaewon or something like that....

Anyhow, I'm definately up for it. Please pm me or something if it's going to be a goer.... could be a very constructuive experience for us all.
