Hello...my school has given me a laptop but it is mostly in korean (ie windows, word etc) Is there anyway to change this. I've downloaded firefox and it is in english but was wondering if there is a way to change the language of programs already on the computer, especially powerpoint. thanks for any help! |

There is no way beyond installing an english version of Windows. |

Jsut install an English language windows OS and your problems will be solved...that's what I did w/ my com at work. |

My school gave me a laptop with English windows on it. But it was an illegal copy so after three months, caputskied!
They then put the proper version on after that. But I still lost a fair bit of work.
Make sure if you get English windows put on, that they load on the east asian languages as well,(it's one of the extra discs) or you won't be able to use or read hanguel. |

All you have to do is download the language packs for whatever extra language you use from the Microsoft site. Don't know what the problem could have been, my free OS's work fine (update and all) a year after installing them.  |

Rumor has it you can only do that with the multi language edition. Otherwise you need to pay. |
