They are trying to over sell jobs in Gangwon-do public schools by stating a $1,000,000 contract completion bonus and talking it up to be a resort comparable to Puket, Thailand! They sound so desperate. It's not Gangwon-do that's desperate, it's the recruiter who is desperate to get those who are looking to teach there. Check out this funny stuff. LOL

Why December 11th, instead of March 1st? |

I have to wonder honestly about some of those figures. Something looks fishy. |

Gangwon is a year round resort destination! Wildflowers paint the mountains with color and sweet smells in the spring, while summer offers swimming at some of the nations best and most splendid beaches. The quality of the sands rivals that of Phuket. |
I see what U mean.
an extra million won is the least they could offer for being banished to the frozen north for a year. |

For $1,000,000 I would sign on in half an eyeblink.
1,000,000KRW? Not quite so much. |

comparing Gangwondo to Phuket is WORSE than comparing Cheju do to Hawaii. But they do that too. |
All depends on which pronunciation of Phuket you're using, doesn't it? |

I love how they list a pamphlet and brochure on Korea as one of the freebies.
Julius is it really that cold there though? Korea is such a small country, I don't see how the weather could vary so much unless the area is at a high altitude (for every 100m elevation the temperature drops 0.7-1 degree Celcius depending on humidity) .

Okay, now they're just making stuff up:

But autumn with its spectacular foliage is the most popular season, particularly for Mt. Sorak. The wooded wonderland of Sorak Mountain, which is part of the East Coast Diamond Mountains, is considered one ot the worlds most spectacular natural wonders. |
And there's a red flag:

So you'll pretty much be teaching anyone and everyone that they can get their hands on. I'd stay away. |

And Jeju (formerly the paradise of Cheju) is like Hawaii . . . There was ice on the ground when I went there. |

Parts of Jeju and parts of Gangwondo on the coast do seem like Hawaii... for like two and half months of the year!

That is Gyeongpodae in September.
In August, it's filled with garbage and a million people. |

Yeah, probably not unlike Busan. In August it turns to umbrella town on the beach. Nothing like Hawaii. |
