This is the spin-off that someone from the 'Funny Things Koreans Believe in' thread suggested. I'm having a bit of trouble racking my brain for examples, but I'm sure that's because I'm Canadian and can't view the culture objectively.

1. We deserve the right to feel superior to the United States

2. We are friendly and easy to get to know

3. BC is the 'Best Place on Earth' (slogan on the new Olympic license plates)

4. We are united in our diversity

5. We love Quebec and they love us and one day we'll be on speaking terms

6. We know what goes on in Nunavut and the Northwest Territories.. dogsledding and seal hunting is in our blood!

7. We're very good at braving extremely low temperatures

8. We are environmentally conscientious and our laws reflect that

9....

10....

9. We get treated better as we travel around the world because we sew maple leaf flags our backpacks.

10. We are morally superior to our neighbors because we've never made any meaningful impact on the world around us, positive or negative.

11. Tom Brokaw and Dan Ackroyd and Pamela Anderson are still Canadians even though they don't want to pay our ridiculous taxes.

12. All the world's problems could be solved in an afternoon if we could just get the world's leaders to sit down and relax over a nice cuppa Tim Horton's, eh?

Umm, you would probably be speaking German right now if it weren't for your neighbors.

13. We are polite. We are the most polite people on the face of the earth. In fact, we are so polite that it is not impolite for us to brag endlessly about how polite we are. Even when we are being rude--and that almost never ever happens--we are more polite about it than anyone. We are world-famous all across Canada for being polite.

14. It is a duty of all Canadians to give a daily lecture to each anti-Bush American who voted against Bush in both elections about Bush's lousy policies and tell them how bad they are for being from a country who voted Bush into office twice.

15. It is a duty of all Canadians to generously hand out Maple Leaf items to Americans abroad and inform them that they will be adored instead of hated if they are seen in public with these items.

16. The Canadian version of the English language is more similar to British English than American English.

17. A person from Tennessee would be able to distinguish a Canadian from someone from Michigan, Ohio, or Minnesota without the Maple Leaf patch on the backpack or obligatory "eh."

news flash:
canada was helping out in WW2 pretty much from day 1... when did the USA get involved? only after pearl harbor, in 1942! US companies, including the bush family, actually financed many of the nazi's projects! i understand that the USA's overall contribution during WW2 was higher than canada's but certainly not per capita!
